As a hard skill it requires authoring training scenarios, integrating with MES and PLM systems for live data, and selecting hardware (headsets, tablets, smart glasses) appropriate for cleanroom and dry-room constraints. Manufacturers apply VR/AR for operator onboarding on cell-stacking lines, maintenance procedures on coating equipment, and remote troubleshooting where a vendor can guide an on-site technician hands-free.
