Minitab
Minitab is the dominant statistical analysis package for quality engineers — used to run capability studies (Cp, Cpk), control charts, designed experiments (DOE), and gauge R&R analyses on battery cell and pack production data. As a hard skill it requires fluency in DOE design (factorial, fractional, response surface), control chart selection by data type, hypothesis testing, and the interpretive discipline to distinguish statistical significance from practical significance. Quality engineers apply this during cell-formation DOE work, when establishing initial control limits on a new coating line, and when running gauge R&R on incoming inspection of cell vendor shipments.
