Laboratory Glassware
Laboratory glassware — flasks, beakers, graduated cylinders, burettes, condensers, and reaction vessels — is the primary hardware for solution preparation, chemical synthesis, and titrations in battery and materials R&D. As a hard skill it requires selecting the appropriate vessel for the reaction or measurement, using volumetric glassware within its specified accuracy class, and recognizing when material compatibility requires switching to PTFE or other alternatives for aggressive solvents or strong bases. Sound glassware practice is foundational to reproducible synthetic and analytical work, where volume errors and chemical contamination propagate directly into experimental conclusions.
