As a hard skill it requires fluency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), container orchestration, observability tooling (logs, metrics, traces), and the on-call discipline to be paged when a coater's data ingestion stops at 3am. Practitioners apply this when standing up the cloud infrastructure that ingests fleet pack data, when automating MES deployments across multiple plants, and when wiring up alerting that fires before a quality issue propagates downstream.
