As a hard skill it requires fluency in Blender's non-destructive modeling workflow, materials and lighting for photorealistic rendering (Cycles, EEVEE), and the Python scripting interface for programmatic geometry generation. Design engineers apply Blender to produce high-quality product renders for proposals and marketing, create animated exploded-view assembly sequences, and communicate complex spatial relationships in ways that static CAD drawings cannot.
