Arduino
Arduino is the dominant prototyping platform for embedded sensor and control circuits — battery teams use it to bring up new BMS algorithms, build pack-test fixtures, and add quick instrumentation to production equipment without involving the controls vendor. As a hard skill it requires C/C++ in the Arduino IDE, fluency in I2C/SPI/UART protocols, and the experience to size pull-ups, decoupling, and protection circuits for the noisy electrical environment around battery packs. Engineers apply it during BMS bring-up, when building a benchtop cell-cycler datalogger, and when adding interim instrumentation to a coater that the PLC doesn't expose.
