Operating from a modern 4,000 m² facility in Karlstein am Main, Germany, the company manufactures over 12,000 batteries annually for heavy‑duty forklifts and industrial vehicles used across KION Group brands. KBS focuses on next‑generation drive technologies, emphasizing sustainability, safety, and modular battery design, with systems engineered for long life cycles, high performance at low temperatures, and strict safety standards. Growing alongside demand for electrified intralogistics, KBS is expanding production capacity—including a second production line capable of 30,000 batteries per year—and aims to employ up to 150 specialists in R&D and manufacturing.
