The National Mining Association (NMA) is the primary United States trade organization representing the interests of the domestic mining industry. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., it was formed in 1995 through the merger of the National Coal Association and the American Mining Congress. The association advocates before Congress, federal agencies, the judiciary, and the media on behalf of more than 250 corporate members, including coal, metal, and mineral producers. Its core mission focuses on securing domestic supply chains, promoting affordable energy, and ensuring the responsible use of America’s vast natural resources.
