International Zinc Association (IZA)
The International Zinc Association (IZA) is the only global trade organization dedicated exclusively to representing the zinc industry and its users. Founded in 1991 by leading zinc producers, the association operates from its Durham, North Carolina headquarters alongside several regional offices worldwide. Its primary mission is to sustainably grow global market demand, manage research initiatives, and transfer new technologies. To achieve this, the organization focuses heavily on green initiatives, including life-cycle assessments, recycling standards, and mapping a path to net-zero carbon emissions. Additionally, the association actively promotes the element's vital contributions to steel corrosion protection, renewable energy storage, crop nutrition, and global human health.
