Certified Chemist or Chemical Engineer
The Certified Chemist (CC) or Chemical Engineer (CCE) certification from the National Certification Commission in Chemistry & Chemical Engineering (NCCCCE) shows that a person has a basic level of chemical engineering education or experience. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering. A major in a related field may apply if you have documentation of being otherwise involved in the chemical sciences. You aren't required to take an exam for this certification, but to maintain it, you are required to fulfill requirements related to continuing education, publications, professional society participation and other professional activity.
