Staff Engineer - Weld
The position supports Industry Managed Programs by reviewing audits, supporting the Welding task group, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct audit reviews with confidentiality and regulatory compliance
- Manage and facilitate Task Group meetings and projects
- Develop, revise, and facilitate audit criteria
- Recruit, interview, and train Auditors
- Provide technical summaries and support to Task Groups
- Collaborate with Auditor Staffing and manage assigned Auditors
- Maintain proficiency in assigned technologies
- Develop and manage budgets for assigned activities
- Support investigations and present at industry events
- Lead or support internal projects for continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years in Welding technologies (GTAW and other welding processes)
- Strong knowledge of aerospace welding specs and processes
- Proficient computer, communication, and project management skills
- Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Must be a U.S. Person (per ITAR/EAR regulations)
- Preferred: Experience in Quality Systems, industry standards, auditing, and the applicable industry
- Ability to travel up to 30% and work in both office and industrial environments
