ROSS Mixers
ROSS Mixers, operated by Charles Ross & Son Company, is one of the world’s oldest and largest manufacturers of industrial mixing, blending, drying, and dispersion systems. Founded in 1842 and employee‑owned since 1999, the company provides equipment central to battery production, specialty chemicals, adhesives, inks, coatings, composites, and food and pharmaceutical processing. ROSS is a founding member of the U.S. Battery Machine Builders coalition and collaborates with research groups such as the Battery Innovation Center to optimize electrode slurry mixing for domestic battery manufacturing. Their equipment supports production from lab scale to full‑scale manufacturing, ensuring consistent dispersion, particle uniformity, and scalable process control.
ROSS operates five U.S. manufacturing facilities and additional plants in China and India, along with a global network of sales offices and a dedicated Test & Development Center. Their mixers—including planetary dispersers, high‑shear systems, dual‑shaft mixers, and ribbon blenders—are extensively used in sectors requiring precision mixing for high‑viscosity materials, electronic pastes, ceramic slurries, structural adhesives, and battery electrode formulations.
