Amazon Leo
Amazon Leo, formerly Project Kuiper, is Amazon’s satellite broadband initiative rebranded in November 2025. The project aims to deploy 3,236 satellites into low Earth orbit to provide global, low-latency internet connectivity. Deployment will occur in five phases, with service set to begin after the first 578 satellites are launched. Amazon has invested over $10 billion, securing launches from multiple providers including SpaceX, to meet FCC deadlines for constellation deployment by 2029.
