Washington County Community College
Washington County Community College is a public community college in Calais, Maine, serving Washington County—one of Maine's most rural regions—with associate degree programs focused on trades, technology, and natural resources. Technical programs include Computer Technology, Electromechanical Instrumentation Technology, Aquaculture Technology, Welding Technology, Mechanical Technology, HVAC, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Heavy Equipment Operations, Diesel and Automotive Engine Overhaul, and Residential and Commercial Electricity. The Aquaculture Technology program is unique in the state, preparing graduates for careers in Maine's growing shellfish, finfish, and seaweed aquaculture industries along the Downeast coast. Electromechanical Instrumentation Technology provides training in industrial control systems, sensors, and process automation relevant to Washington County's manufacturing and natural resource processing facilities.
