Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute
Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) is a federally chartered two-year tribal college located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, operated by the Bureau of Indian Education and exclusively serving Native American students. SIPI offers a Geospatial Information Technology (GIT) AAS degree and certificate, providing Indigenous communities with critical land management and natural resource monitoring capabilities. The Network Management AAS prepares students for IT infrastructure careers, while a Pre-Engineering AS establishes transfer pathways to four-year engineering programs. Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) certificates develop precision documentation skills applicable to construction, energy, and environmental projects on tribal lands. Environmental Science and Business Education programs round out the institute's mission of preparing Native American graduates for technical and enterprise careers that serve their communities.
