Prince William Sound College
Prince William Sound College is a community college and UAA campus located in Valdez, Alaska, the southern terminus of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and a gateway to the marine environment of Prince William Sound. The Marine Service Technology program trains students to service marine engines, plumbing, and electrical and drive systems, directly supporting Valdez's maritime, fishing, and oil terminal industries. The Applied Technology associate degree provides a broad technical foundation for students entering Alaska's construction, resource extraction, and industrial maintenance trades. Natural Resources Technician programs prepare graduates for field work in environmental monitoring, ecological assessment, and land management across Southcentral Alaska, including the pipeline corridor and Prince William Sound watershed. A Millwright certificate program, introduced in 2025-2026, trains students in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery for Alaska's construction and resource sectors.
