PennWest California
PennWest California is the California campus of Pennsylvania Western University, a system formed through the merger of California University of Pennsylvania, Clarion University, and Edinboro University, located in California, Washington County, southwestern Pennsylvania. As a comprehensive regional university within Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education, PennWest California serves students across STEM, education, business, and health sciences with strong emphases on engineering technology and computing. The campus is the exclusive home of Pennsylvania's only State System B.S. in Mechatronics Engineering Technology, combining mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and control systems — directly addressing advanced manufacturing and automation workforce needs. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Environmental Science are among the STEM degrees available on campus, supported by the Eberly College of Science, Technology and Business. PennWest California benefits from the ACCESS S-STEM scholarship program funded by the National Science Foundation, supporting financially disadvantaged students pursuing STEM degrees.
