Pennsylvania Highlands Community College
Pennsylvania Highlands Community College (Penn Highlands) is a public two-year institution serving Cambria, Blair, Bedford, Fulton, Indiana, and Somerset counties from its main campus in Johnstown, with additional centers in Ebensburg and Lewistown. The college focuses on workforce-aligned credentials in manufacturing technology, information technology, business administration, and energy that reflect the economic realities of its rural and post-industrial service region in southwestern Pennsylvania. Programs in electrical technology, industrial maintenance, welding, and energy technology connect graduates to careers in the region's manufacturing, utilities, and mining sectors, while computer information systems and cybersecurity credentials address the growing demand for IT-skilled workers throughout the Alleghenies. Penn Highlands provides engineering technology and science transfer pathways to Penn State campuses, and has been recognized for its work connecting displaced workers and working adults to in-demand credentials in one of Pennsylvania's most economically challenged regions.
