Penn State Shenango
Penn State Shenango is a branch campus of The Pennsylvania State University located in Sharon, Mercer County, in the Shenango Valley of western Pennsylvania near the Ohio border. The campus serves a historically manufacturing-rich region that includes steel production, metals fabrication, and industrial services, providing students with Penn State degrees in a community-focused setting at lower cost than larger residential campuses. Its technology-oriented programs include a B.S. in Information Technology focused on enterprise systems and technical problem-solving, and a B.S. in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations preparing graduates to defend digital infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. Project and Supply Chain Management offers an additional technically-aligned business pathway suited to manufacturing operations and logistics careers. Penn State Shenango students benefit from strong ties to regional manufacturers and technology employers in the Shenango Valley and Greater Pittsburgh corridor. Note that Penn State Shenango is not enrolling new students after fall 2025 and will support continuing students through the 2026-27 academic year.
