Durham Technical Community College is a public two-year institution located in Durham, serving Durham and Orange counties at the heart of the Research Triangle region of North Carolina. The college's mission is to provide workforce preparation and academic transfer education for a region shaped by world-class research universities, biopharmaceuticals, information technology, and a burgeoning advanced manufacturing sector. Durham Tech offers STEM and technical programs well suited to the innovation economy, including electrical systems technology, electronics engineering technology, industrial systems technology in both advanced manufacturing and facilities maintenance tracks, and a strong information technology program. Students can pursue certificates, diplomas, and associate of applied science degrees in welding, automotive systems technology, industrial technology, business administration, and HVAC, as well as transfer pathways in chemistry, environmental science, mathematics, physics, and geology.
